The 2009 Kansas City Women’s Playwriting Festival, produced by Potluck Productions and directed by Richard Alan Nichols, will open Friday, February 27th.
Production dates are February 27 and 28, and March 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Curtain for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday is at 8:00 PM, with a 3:00 PM Sunday matinee.
Tickets are $15 at the door, and reservations are encouraged by calling (816) 523-5038.
This year’s Festival features the following works: “Glass Jaw” and “Slow Dance With Cake” by Tracey Evans; “De-Con-Struction” by Kirsten Fatland; “Sweet Potato Pie(s)” by Nancy Gall-Clayton; “Canyon’s Edge” by Barbara Lindsay; and “Turtle Beach” by Aoise Stratford.
Featured in this year’s festival is the following Kansas City talent: Ari Bavel;
Tanya Barber; Glendora Davis; Ryan Laws; Ellen Loschke; Michael Masterson; Kathy
Murphy; Hank Rector; Joyce Slater; and Lucille Windsor. The festival is supported
