| Gorilla Theatre Productions is proud to announce its presentation of Waiting for Godot written by Samuel Beckett. The long awaited play will be at The Just Off Broadway Theatre, 3051 Central, in Penn Valley Park, Kansas City, Missouri, on January 25th, 26th , 27th and February 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 8:00 p.m. and January 28th and February 4th at 2:00 p.m. First presented in New York in 1956, Waiting for Godot has been hailed as Beckett’s masterpiece. He sub-titled it his “anti-play”. It is a tragicomedy with two acts. The play centers on two transients, Valdimir and Estragon, who find they are waiting for a man named Godot, a man who never appears in the play. An absurd and existentialist piece, Waiting for Godot shows the humor and pain of waiting for something that is obscure without the knowledge of why we are waiting. The cast includes: Jeff Wheeler as Vladimir Scott Smith as Estragon Daniel Eisenhower as Pozzo William Brame as Lucky Alex Montgomery as The Boy Waiting for Godot is directed by James Dean Carter Artistic director for Gorilla Theatre Productions is David Luby Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for seniors and students at the door. “It means what it says”, absurdist Samuel Beckett said about Godot.
