Gorilla Theatre Productions is proud to
announce its presentation of Waiting for Godot
written by Samuel Beckett. The long awaited play
will be at The Just Off Broadway Theatre, 3051
Central, in Penn Valley Park, Kansas City,
Missouri, on January 25th, 26th , 27th and
February 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 8:00 p.m. and
January 28th and February 4th at 2:00 p.m.

First presented in New York in 1956, Waiting for
Godot has been hailed as Beckett’s masterpiece.
He sub-titled it his “anti-play”.  It is a tragicomedy
with two acts.  The play centers on two transients,
Valdimir and Estragon, who find they are waiting
for a man named Godot, a man who never
appears in the play.

An absurd and existentialist piece, Waiting for
Godot shows the humor and pain of waiting for
something that is obscure without the knowledge
of why we are waiting.

The cast includes:

Jeff Wheeler as Vladimir
Scott Smith as Estragon
Daniel Eisenhower as Pozzo
William Brame as Lucky
Alex Montgomery as The Boy

Waiting for Godot is directed by James Dean Carter
Artistic director for Gorilla Theatre
Productions is David Luby

Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for
seniors and students at the door.

“It means what it says”, absurdist Samuel
Beckett said about Godot.
