| "ONE NIGHT STAND" Presented by the Independent Filmmakers Coalition June 17, 2006 HOW ABOUT A ONE NIGHT STAND? The Independent Filmmakers Coalition is proud to announce the sixth annual "One Night Stand" competition in which filmmakers have 10 hours to write, shoot and edit a three-minute film. Here is the pitch: At 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17, entrants will assemble at the Westport Coffee House, 4010 Pennsylvania, to draw a general theme, item and a line of dialogue out of a hat. Using these elements, the filmmakers have ten hours to complete the project. The film must be submitted on mini DV by 8 p.m. at the Just Off Broadway Theater. Entry fee is $25.00 per team, $28 for non IFC members. Anyone may form a team. Most teams are partially assembled in advance, but innocent bystanders are invited to drop by and be drafted at the morning's drawing. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. All footage must be shot during the 10-hour period. The screening, which is open to everyone, will be held 9:00 p.m. that night (June 17) at Just Off Broadway Theater, 3051 Central in Penn Valley Park.
