From Billie Holiday & Bessie Smith to Woody Guthrie & Joe Hill, expect the unexpected from Bob and
Diana. Bob may sing about hoboes one minute; give a speech from Eugene V Debbs the next; followed
by a jazz or blues number or maybe a gospel tune by Diana. This duo is a Kansas City favorite for over
30 years.

KC Folk Music presents Checkered Past in concert on Saturday, October 29 at 8:00pm
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Checkered Past is K.C. Compton, Martha Haehl, Lynn Snyder and Kerry Stanley on guitar, fiddle,
bass, mandolin, flute, and more. This show will include their normal fare of harmony, politics, and humor,
spiced with suitably creepy songs for the Halloween season.

The Kansas City Star has called Gary "a champion yodeler...who can interpret a country classic with
quiet authority." The Kansas City Pitch wrote "Gary Kirkland has brought us a gift from the past and
applies it to the present in fantabulous fashion." Gary Kirkland was co-host of Folk Waves on KCUR,
and was the international Jimmy Rodgers Yodeling Champion in 1981.

KC Folk Music and KKFI present Strictly For Laughs and BBQ Dinner on Saturday,
November 12 at 8:00pm. Barbeque Dinner at 6:30pm; Strictly For Laughs at 8:00pm
Dinner & Show tickets are $20 advance and $25 at the door.
Show Only Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door.
Veteran comic performers Mark Manning (Big Bang Buffet); Glendora Davis and Joyce Slater (Potluck
Productions); John Jessup (Right Between the Ears); and the CrossCurrents Funsters perform an evening
of no holds barred comedy.
Rosy's Bar and Grill, long time KC favorites known for tight harmonies, a biting sense of humor and
political commentary, will perform immediately following Strictly For Laughs.
