The Fat lady never sings but nearly everybody else will at Faire Play for Friends, a variety show
with a Renaissance Festival flair at the Just Off Broadway Theatre on Friday, October 7th. A
bunch of the finest musical and comedy RenFaire stage acts in the region will present four hours
of music and mirth, in this benefit for hurricane victims. All proceeds will go to the American Red
Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
Acts already confirmed go from the sweet sounds of Tullamore and Queen's Gambit to the
roistering of the Jolly Rogers and satirical stylings of the Brobdingnagian Bards, from the silent
silliness of Sparrow the Mime and boisterous juggling of The Jester Rejects to the politically
incorrect but snortingly funny twisted Shakespeare of The Lord Mayor's Company and the
improvised buffoonery of Commedia Sans Arte, all (sort of) under the direction of EmCee
Seymoure.
The show runs 6-10pm, Friday, October 7 at the Just Off Broadway Theatre. Tickets are $15. For
more information call 913-371-4995.
