foolishness requiring much bravery as a performer.  Dean will co-lead the final
workshop day with…..

Renee Howard:  after having received a Theater degree from Jacksonville State
University in Alabama, Renee spent two years in Hollywood doing extra work for
movies then moved to Minneapolis, to study the Margolis Method with Master
Teacher Kari Margolis.  This is where she met Dean.

THE WORKSHOP –

The first four days will introduce and reinforce the concepts and techniques
instrumental in the creation of clown theater.  The workshop will consist of exercises
and discussion focused on the intricacy of movement and the potential for emotional
_expression through the body. You will discover the underlying fundamentals
necessary for physical performance and the principals behind mime technique and
physical comedy while gaining greater control of your body, learning to manipulate
space and increasing your physical presence.

The fifth day Dean will explore ways to make feeling and expressions clear through
the use of the body by using some basic mime and movement theater techniques. Then
Renee will finish the workshop by demonstrating the importance of movement for the
speaking actor. Actors will learn a few exercises that will help them on the journey to
find the place where the voice is never separated from the actor.
